The Feud
Inspired by Berlioz's “Symphonie Fantastique”, The Feud is a show ripe with opportunities for characterizations. Split your band into two equal groups and let the fun begin. It's a fight between the “have's” and “have not's”, it's a love story, it's a statement on the human condition!
Movement I: Two families, locked in a feud for generations, fought over differences long-forgotten..Legend says it started over a prize pig, but some say it was property. Others close to the family say it was a gambling debt never paid. We may never know the truth of what started it, but the feud rages on...
Movement II: Ignoring their families’ bitter dispute, two young lovers come together in secret. Tired of hiding, the lovers bring their families together. Because of the couples’ love, for the first time in generations, the fighting ceases. Two families, once divided by bitterness, are now one.
Movement III: It seems as though all is well, but still water runs deep and in peace, a new feud begins...
This one is powerful, yet with ample woodwind exposure and tender moments - a can't miss!
