The Four Horsemen
In the Book of Revelation, four horsemen personify pestilence, war, famine, and death... sent as harbingers of the end of the world and represented in this dark and powerful four movement show.
Pestilence spreads from the opening flute solo throughout the band in Movement I. Movement II begins with a tuba solo and builds to the fury and destruction of war.. The third horsemen, Famine, is depicted in a moving ballad with the band yearning to find any kind of sustenance and ending in a question of what could be next. The fourth and final movement introduces the horsemen of death, spreading throughout the band and eventually ending in one last heartbeat.
If you are looking for a dark show with a ton of characterization opportunities, give this one a listen!
